UTMy Visits Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah (SAS)

UTMy Year 2 students and professors recently had the valuable opportunity to visit Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur as part of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) programme.
The PBL programme, led by Prof. Dr. Ken Nishimura, focuses on public health and medical issues in Malaysia.

Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur is a leading private hospital in Malaysia, located just a few minutes’ walk from UTMy. It provides comprehensive medical services, including specialist care, diagnostics, and advanced treatment facilities, and actively welcomes international patients.

During the visit, hospital staff kindly guided the delegation through various facilities, including the outpatient clinic, laboratory and rehabilitation centre, Health Screening Centre, and the Cancer Centre. The students gained valuable insight into how healthcare services are delivered in a modern hospital setting.

In addition to the hospital visit, Prof. Dr. Nishimura will further enrich the PBL programme by inviting guest lecturers to share their expertise with the students.

This meaningful experience is expected to inspire UTMy students to deepen their understanding of public health and medical issues, while reflecting on the challenges and responsibilities surrounding healthcare in society.
