University of Tsukuba, Malaysia (UTMy) was honoured to welcome Professor Ir. Dr. Khairul Salleh bin Mohamed Sahari, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), to its campus.

Prof. Dr. Khairul previously served as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), and UTMy has maintained a close relationship with him over the years. Although this visit had been anticipated for some time, we were delighted to finally welcome him to our campus.

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Maki Tsujimura, Dean of UTMy, held a productive discussion with Prof. Dr. Khairul on opportunities for collaboration between UNITEN and UTMy. The meeting covered a broad range of potential initiatives, including student recruitment, academic exchange, education, and joint research activities.

Prof. Dr. Khairul also observed a Judo class led by Assistant Prof. Dr. Hiroaki Hiraoka, the London 2012 Olympic silver medallist. The visit provided an opportunity to introduce one of UTMy's distinctive educational experiences, where students can learn directly from internationally accomplished faculty members

This visit marks an important first step toward strengthening the partnership between UNITEN and UTMy. Both institutions look forward to exploring future collaborations that will benefit students, faculty members, and the wider academic community.
