Celebratory Reception for the Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan

On February 20, Prof. Hiroshi MOCHIYAMA and Prof. Maki TSUJIMURA of the University of Tsukuba (UT) held an exhibitio on the University of Tsukuba, Malaysia (UTMY), which is scheduled to open in September 2024, at a celebratory reception for the Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

The reception was hosted by the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia, with the attendance of Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Binti Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Alhaj, Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Syarif Temenggong Perlis Dato' Seri Diraja Syed Amer Abidin Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail and Yang Mulia Che Puan Tenenggong Perlis Datin Seri Diraja Farinawati Datuk Mohammad Din, and others.

 

Prof. MOCHIYAMA (Institute of Systems and Information Engineering), who is scheduled to teach at UTMY, gave a demonstration on technology related to robotics and haptics. In addition, Prof. TSUJIMURA (Institute of Life and Environmental Sciences), Prof. Iwane SUZUKI (Institute of Life and Environmental Sciences), and Ms. Mariko SAITO (Graduate Student of the Graduate School of Science and Technology) introduced their educational activities in Malaysia. The demonstrations attracted many visitors.
