UT President, Courtesy call to UM Vice-Chancellor and the Ambassador of Japan

On March 4, President Kyosuke NAGATA of the University of Tsukuba paid a courtesy visit to Prof. Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Noor Azuan Abu Osman, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaya (UM). He also paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Katsuhiko TAKAHASHI of the Embassy of Japan at Kuala Lumpur.

During the meeting with the UM president, both parties confirmed the strengthening of cooperation of research and education. They exchanged views on the promotion of joint research, especially in the field of health sciences, as well as faculty and student exchanges.

During his visit to the Embassy of Japan, President NAGATA expressed his gratitude for the cooperation and support received by the Embassy. Ambassador TAKAHASHI expressed his continued support toward the opening of University of Tsukuba, Malaysia in September.

President NAGATA also visited Pusat Bahasa Teikyo (a Japanese Language Preparatory College for study in Japan) and met other stakeholders on the same day.
