Kuen Cheng High School Visit
 

Professor Dr. Maki Tsujimura, Dean of the School of Transdisciplinary Science and Design, Visits Kuen Cheng High School

In July 2024, UTMy participated in the Kuen Cheng Education Fair, where we introduced our innovative academic programme to Kuen Cheng students.
This time, Professor Dr. Maki Tsujimura, Dean of the School of Transdisciplinary Science and Design, had the opportunity to visit Kuen Cheng High School in person. During the visit, Professor Tsujimura met with Ms. Kang Ruey Chyi, Head of Career Counseling, and Ms. Lim Sook Fong, Assistant to the Head of Career Counseling, to discuss potential future collaborations.
 

Kuen Cheng High School, established in 1908 as a girls’ school, is a respected Chinese Independent School in Kuala Lumpur.
During the meeting, we explored opportunities for collaboration, including student visits to UTMy and the possibility of hosting workshops for Kuen Cheng’s students.
Both Ms. Kang and Ms. Lim expressed their interest in UTMy’s unique transdisciplinary curriculum, which emphasises problem-based learning and transdisciplinary innovation.
 

We look forward to deepening our partnership with Kuen Cheng High School and expanding the academic pathways available to their students.
