Professor Dr. Maki Tsujimura, Dean of School of Transdisciplinary Science and Design, and Assistant Professor Dr. Kohki Watabe welcomed a delegation from Vietnam Japan University (VJU) today.
The delegation included:
- ▪Dr. Nguyen Thi Ha Phuong - Deputy Chief, Academics and Student Affairs Office
- ▪Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang - Educational Testing Officer
- ▪Ms. Tran Thi Hue - Educational Testing Officer
- ▪Mr. Pham The Duyet - Student Affairs and Careers Support Officer
- ▪Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thao - Faculty Assistant
- ▪Ms. Mika Inomata - Programme Coordinator
- ▪Associate Professor Dr. Shinya Fujino - JICA Expert
- ▪Mr. Yoshitaka Inagaki - Senior Representative, JICA Malaysia Office
Founded in 2014, VJU was established in 2014 as a symbol of the strong friendship between Vietnam and Japan, born from the collaborative efforts of the leaders of both countries.
Similarly, UTMy represents the enduring bond between Malaysia and Japan.
During the visit, the delegation first observed a class at UTMy, led by Professor Dr. Noriko Hiraishi, gaining valuable insights into our innovative teaching methods. This was followed by a productive discussion on academic and student affairs, as well as the process of establishing educational programmes. VJU, which began with small graduate programmes, has since grown to offer a full range of undergraduate to doctoral degrees.
Given that both institutions are symbols of international friendship, UTMy can certainly learn from VJU's experience in Vietnam.
