UTMy Students Learn Healthy Coping Strategies in “Stress Less, Live More” Workshop

On 9th April 2025, UTMy students had the opportunity to attend a Stress Management Workshop entitled “Stress Less, Live More”, led by UTMy counsellor, Dr. Sharon.
This session focused on helping students identify the causes of stress and learn effective relaxation strategies to manage their mental and emotional well-being. The workshop also introduced the four types of communication styles: passive, aggressive, passive-aggressive and assertive.
To better understand each style, students participated in a roleplay, divided into two teams, each performing scenes that demonstrated the different communication styles. The fun session concluded with a key message: Assertive communication should be practiced by everyone, as it promotes clear expression and mutual respect.
