Young Generations Explore Their Future Possibilities

UTMy welcomed delegations from two distinguished Japanese senior high schools: Ehime University Senior High School and Senior High School at Sakado, University of Tsukuba.

Ehime University Senior High School, affiliated with Ehime University, nurtures students with strong academic foundations, motivation for learning, and a commitment to contributing to their communities.
Established in 1900 as Ehime Prefectural Agricultural School, it has evolved through various reforms and was reorganized in 2008 under Ehime University.

Senior High School at Sakado, University of Tsukuba, shares a mission of cultivating future leaders with global perspectives and collaborative spirit.
Founded in 1946 and incorporated into the University of Tsukuba in 1978, the school pioneered a comprehensive curriculum in 1994 and later advanced international education, including its designation as a Super Global High School (2014) and an IB World School (2017).

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Maki Tsujimura (Dean) and Prof. Dr. Shige Kudo gave an introductory session to 13 students and their teachers, followed by an engaging Q&A.
The group also joined a Year 2 lecture, experiencing a hands-on session on genetics in “Fundamentals of Natural Science I” led by Prof. Dr. Ken Nishimura.

This visit offered students valuable insights into university life and inspired them to reflect on future career possibilities.

UTMy warmly welcomes secondary school delegations not only from Japan but also from Malaysia.
