On 13th December 2025, the University of Tsukuba, Malaysia (UTMy) successfully held its Open Day and Cultural Festival.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came by, took the time to visit our faculty members' booths, and engaged in discussions with us about UTMy and our transdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts and Science program. It was truly encouraging to meet prospective students, parents, and members of the public who showed strong interest in our unique learning environment. 

A very special thank you goes to Ms. Yuumi Kato, Former Miss Universe Japan 2018 and Influencer Ambassador for the Malaysia Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka–Kansai. Having grown up in Malaysia, Ms. Kato kindly agreed to join us and share her personal experiences as a bridge between Japan and Malaysia. Her talk session with our students, Ku Mohamad Khalid and Rana Takada, provided valuable insights into cross-cultural experiences and highlighted the distinctive strengths of studying at UTMy. We are deeply grateful for her inspiring presence and warm engagement with our students and guests.

We would also like to give a big round of applause to all the guests and participants of the Cultural Festival, which was planned and carried out entirely by our students. From preparation to execution, their dedication and teamwork led to a major success, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the day. It was wonderful to see everyone having fun!

Once again, thank you to everyone who made this Open Day and Cultural Festival such a memorable event. We look forward to hosting similar events in the future and welcoming you back to UTMy soon.
