UTMy Hosts KEIDANREN Delegation to Strengthen Industry Collaboration

UTMy was honoured to welcome a delegation from KEIDANREN (Japan Business Federation), led by Mr. Noriyuki Hara, Representative Director and Chairman of the Board of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd., and Chair of the Committee on Asia and Oceania of KEIDANREN.

KEIDANREN is Japan’s leading economic organisation, consisting of 1,574 representative companies, 106 nationwide industrial associations, and regional economic organisations from all 47 prefectures.

The visit began with a presentation by Professor Dr. Maki Tsujimura, Dean of the School of Transdisciplinary Science and Design, followed by a productive discussion lasting approximately one hour.

UTMy maintains strong ties with Japanese industries in Malaysia. The discussion facilitated a meaningful exchange of insights and perspectives, particularly regarding students’ career pathways and UTMy’s future outlook from the industry’s viewpoint.
